The Merk Manual is one of the world's most widely used medical resources, designed for physicians, medical students, and other medical professionals. It is a great source of information on the topic of hemostasis as well as hematology and other laboratory specialties. This webpage includes diagrams and animations that will help with your understanding of the material.

STAGO is a company that makes coagulation analyzers. This website summarizes coagulation nicely. It also contains interesting material on the history of thrombosis and coagulation. There is a section of tests and clinical applications, as well as background on diseases that will be covered in a separate lesson. Keep this link handy for the rest of the course, not just this lesson.

This link opens the lesson on hemostasis from a course available at Santa Barbara City College. This site too covers information not mentioned in this lesson, but will be important for future lessons in the course. This site not only explains hemostasis but has some nice images as well.
