Welcome to the online flipped classroom lesson on hemostasis. This course website is the online companion to the face-to-face course MLS 411, Coagulation, which is part of the senior curriculum of the Medical Laboratory Science Program at The University of Southern Mississippi. The main topics covered in the lesson include primary hemostasis, secondary hemostasis, and fibrinolysis. The lesson has the following components:

![]() My name is Anna Swann and I am the instructor for the course. I am an instructor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), and this is the first time I have created an online component, other than posting slides to blackboard, for one of my face-to-face classes. I have been teaching for 8 years at USM. Over the past eight years I have learned that not everyone processes new information the same way. Some students like to just listen and take notes while others need to be actively involved in the learning process.
